Tsunami Awareness Day 2021 Contribution by AGITHAROur Contribution

November 5 marks the World Tsunami Awareness Day. Participants of AGITHAR have worked hard to contribute to the preparedness, security, and resilience against Tsunamis worldwide.

The scientific basis for our activities has been updated by a Research Topic of Frontiers in Earth Science From Tsunami Science to Hazard and Risk Assessment: Methods and Models.

An activity being conducted by Members of AGITHAR is the ChEESE Urgent Computing Samos Earthquake and Tsunami Exercise. An Ensemble of tsunami simulations will be run to evaluate the Probabilistic Tsunami Forecasting (PTF).
